2013 resolutions:

  1. Stop digressing/procrastinating and finish all work and revision on the day itself (Always on the list but never succeeded)
  2. Thirty sit-ups before sleeping (uni screwed up my resolution, always so tired that I fall asleep once my head hits the pillow)
  3. Run 5km per week. (It's so hard to get the motivation to push yourself further SIAN)
  4. Sleep latest by 12am everyday when there's school the next day (No point staying up so long and getting shitty results anyway. Health and good skin so much more important okay. Maybe.)
  5. Stop dwelling on things that can't be changed.
  6. Stop playing with phone while doing work (Instagram and food photos are so much more interesting than money that's not yours what. Even tweets from people bitching are 100X better)
  7. Stop caring about what others think.
  8. (Why so many things starting with 'Stop') Start saving more money and spending on clothes or shoes also better than on food. (Ouch, sorry my true love food)
  9. Keep in touch with people
  10. (Ten is a nice number so must die die have ten) Be more patient and not show my anger on my face (HARDEST THING EVER)
Okay I fell sick two days ago. Gastric problems/illness. Reasons why I need a doctor best friend. Or I can compel my brother into being one (LIKE REAL) DAMN GLAD I COULD TURN UP FOR CHALET. Thanks for the surprise and the cake and all the entertainment. Really love you all so much. (haha who actually reads this) AIYAH WHY NO ONE LET ME INSTAGRAM MY CAKEEE. Okay instagram obsessed and I am kidding.

Results wise er I feel so embarrassed. I really dk what I have been doing my whole life. I think I am just a little away from the higher grade leh. Careless mistakes FML. Okay I over confident. Really expected slightly better results for like certain mods. A bit sad to think I would kind of disappoint certain tutors (maybe they don't care). Anw do you think I would have good karma if I give out flyers with advice about which certain mod certain tutor to avoid?

Anw this is like ultimate omggg http://intoxiquette.livejournal.com/ EVERYTHING IS DAMN CHIOOO.

26th May 2012, Day 7
Thanks for following the series of Korea travelogue brought to you by Jane. Omg so bullshit. Haha yes, this is the last post about Korea trip :(

Really thought the view from our hotel in Seoul was good. And I really think it's pretty classy.
This is the view.
A more focused shot on the buildings on the right hand side of the windows

Hi good morning. Yes it's Ignis shirt HAHA.

Shincon University Street

Korean students have good life okay. Shopping streets near to their schools. And so many pretty clothes selling at around $10 here!!! Okay actually Korean students face a lot of stress too. So maybe not a good life also HAHA.

Keep complaining to Wei Shan that we shouldn't have shop at Dongdaemun cause the prices here is really so much more cheaper. It's just cause they don't really jack up the prices here. Or just cause it's Saturday and locals are out shopping. ARGHHH I AM CHEATED :'( Haha I sound so pissed off with the shopping but I still spent so much here. HAHA. Bought a T-shirt, a mustard coloured cardigan, a dress (damn niceee and we have matching clothes again, Wei Shan), another mustard coloured top and a bag for Mum. All of the things at around $10 except for the T-shirt which is around $5. AHAHA.

Spent a few hours before we were supposed to meet and go to the local convenience store! Before returning back to the bus, we went to take a look at their MRT station (?)

The 7 eleven/family mart sold this really damn nice tissue pack!!! With London as background I think. But I have self control okayyy, so I didn't buy HAHA.

Okay local convenience store OH YEAHHH. FOOD FOOD FOOD.
I think everyone just spam and buy like a lot of seaweed HAHA. And then everyone left with a box of food okay. Then it was time to go to airport :(

Phototaking with the tour guide and then we were supposed to self entertain before boarding the plane. We were supposed to settle our lunch zzz so much for 100% meals HAHA.

Omurice from airport
It costs around $11 I think :O Not very nice lehhh. SO FATTENING LOOK AT THE CHEESE AND ALL THE SAUCE!

Well there was time after lunch but we were too bored with facial masks already so we didn't bother visiting any shops HAHA. And we realised we forgot our banana milk :'( MY FAVOURITEEE.

Goodbye Korea. Back to Singapore and work. Pretty amazing to go on overseas trip without family. It's like a different experience. Glad to be back safe and sound :')

In conclusion, Auntie Cher wants to emphasize that (LOL)
  1. Jeju Island is really really pretty. And you really really really need to wear proper shoes as in sports shoes to enjoy your activities there.
  2. Facial masks are really cheap so please spam & buy a supply of like three years LOL LOL.
  3. BANANA MILK & STRAWBERRIES & HALLABONG ORANGES MUST BUY
  4. Spend more time at Everland!!!
  5. Bring more memory cards lah.
  6. Don't spend too much on clothes, cause some of the clothes are made from China anw ._. Maximum: $15
  7. Try street food :D
  8. People at convenience store are pretty nice :D :D But the other people hmm.
Will go back to Korea if I have the chance. But definitely will want to go other countries first. Italy(Milan & Venice!!!) , Japan, Australia (Gold Coast & Sydney!!!) and return back to Taiwan. Oh I don't mind going China too. My wanderlust is acting up again. HAHAHA.

26th May 2012, Day 6
Second day in Seoul :) Had Chinese breakfast at some restaurant which was supposedly the best Chinese breakfast place in Korea. Oh fyi, we didn't have any Korean style breakfast cause Koreans actually have breakfast at home :O

Oh despite it being a Chinese breakfast, there will always be kimchi. But Chinese breakfast means there's soya bean milk and youtiao. Me and mine dou jiang you tiao ~ Hehehe. But it wasn't very nice :(

Okay, then after breakfast, it was time for Ginseng shopping which I obviously did not buy any. Wanted to buy some home but then again, not rich enough (and cousins told me not to buy any lah) Oh we went to some Amethyst Factory too and do I need to repeat that I am not rich? HAHA.

OH COSMETICS SHOWROOM IS A DIFFERENT STORY I SWEAR. :O Amazed at the make up and facial wash etc stuff. CC cream (which I realised Silkygirl has it too and it's colour control?) and Botox solution to apply to your face! Bought a facial wash that costs $30!!! :O Hahaha, but I really felt my dead skin cells being removed when I tried it there. Oh and bought the face shop masks. 34 masks lying in my luggage and flew back to Singapore with me. Around 28 of them are still lying in my house.

Ehh anw facial masks are really cheap there. $10 for 10 masks seem to be the normal price there. I saw the exact same facial masks I bought from Face Shop here. On sale and it's 4 for $10. AHA, I got more than twice of what you have. ;)

Guess what my Mum said about my face! She said my face looks brighter (healthy glow HAHAHA) SO HAPPY. But I think it's cause of the $30 facial wash OH NO. How am I going to buy that in Singapore? It costs $56 >:( The price girls pay for beauty.

Lunch was some BBQ chicken with hot & spicy rice cakes. I think it's really cool that I get to eat most of the food that I wanted to try. :D

Lunch~
This was how the food look like at the start. The white things are the rice cakes. Everyday also eat BBQ stuff (almost)

Well well, shopping immediately after lunch (y) Dongdaemun Market again :) Three shopping centres with seven storeys, tell me how to finish it within a few hours? Spent a lot a lot a lot of money during this short two plus hours I guess :O Bought a tank top just cause I like the colour, a Paris necklace (woots), a dress, skorts, an asymmetrical skirt and a bag I think. HAHA same dress and skorts as Wei Shan. Can't help it we both have awesome taste AHA.

It was time for Lotte World! Spent really a long long long time at Lotte World. From afternoon till 930! Well Lotte World is pretty huge with indoor and outdoor amusement park. And there's a shopping complex there which I didn't manage to see.

Here we go!
Well, it was supposedly a top five attractions pass only but they managed to upgrade it to all rides pass? AWESOME.
This is what you see when you enter! Nice photo except for all the tourists' heads. HAHA. And some locals' heads too.
Lotte World (like people don't know)
Like this view? Want to have a bird eye view of it? (kind of) Stay tuned.

Well decided to take a ride on the flying swings. My favourite ride when I was a primary school kid whenever I go Genting :) Remembered I used to stay in one of the rooms with the view of flying swim. Jealous or not? HAHA.

This flying swing at Lotte World is not very scary because it's much lower in height I guess. But I think it can make me puke if I go for one more round zzz. Super dizzy (and I am glad I am not the only one who feel that wayyyy PHEW)

Well well, super proud of Wei Shan HAHA. Cause we decided to go on... Bungee drop. It's like similar to the one in Genting I guess. (The one ride that I never ever dared to go on during trips to Genting but guess I should give it a try if I go back there.)

Bungee Drop
Oh anw the solution to the bird's eye view thing above is... taking this ride HAHA. Anw I feel so noob. I stared at the water/view below while the ride was going down... And then my spects almost dropped down :O I swear that was the most scary part of the whole ride. HAHA. Okay lah I think the movement up was scarier than the down part? :/

HAHA there was another ride similar to this but it looks way scarier. (And the queue is way longer I guess)
Gydrop which I didn't dare to try :/
Hmm but people who tried this said that the Genting one is scarier cause this ride is too smooth. Guess the scary part is the height?

I guess that was the end of our adrenaline rush on Day 6 cause I don't dare to try the rollercoaster indoor :( I hate hate hate rides that make you turn upside down. And I thought after the rollercoaster at Everland everything would be mild HAHA.

Time for dinner. We were given money to have our dinner on our own. Must eat dinner early so we can catch the lights up performances! :)
Day 6 dinner
Was supposed to order jajangmyeon but I noob so I ended up ordering some spicy seafood noodle with soup. HAHA. But the noodles weren't that awesome :'(

HAHA this poor person drove around the place around two times I think.
Actually I took this photo cause got little kid. OOPS.

HAHA little kids were so involved with the dance. Like they have so much fun dancing. Innocent days...
Go kids, have fun while you can HAHA. Super blur shot :(

Random shot
Took random photos after all the lights were lit.

Windmill and nice lights.
I am an expert at zipai-ing. Haha, walk a few steps, zi pai/take photos and then move on. Okay after our dinner, we didn't dare to go for much rides. Went for this 3D (?) thing. HAHA got like spiders crawling and spider webs etc. Me being a noob actually keep moving and tried to avoid the spiders (like it makes a difference)

Okay anw here's a photo which shows how scary the rollercoaster is. I think people on running man went to take it leh? But I don't watch running man so I might be wrong.

Evidence #1
Can you imagine how it feels to stand at the position of the father and daughter and the rollercoaster zoom past you. :O Eh fyi, that part which you see in the photo is the erm turn upside down part.
Oh I realised Wei Shan's photo totally shows how scary the roller coaster is....
Evidence 2

Took photos with erm pictures/paintings. Nahhh didn't go to Trick Art Museum.
Attained enlightenment hehe
My wings have sprouted. I am an angel in disguise ;) HAHAHA
I DON'T WANT TO GIVE YOU TOILET PAPER LEH.
HAHAHAHA REALLY DAMN FUNNY I THINK.
Please don't eat me.

OMG the mouth is bigger than mine. Hahaha.

Then we went for some performance (self programmed one I think). Totally didn't understand anything cause it was in Korean. #facepalm Then we went downstairs back to level 1 at 9 because there's a laser show at 9.15 :D

But before the laser show, we went for carousel ride :D The last time I went on one was in primary school at Genting okayyyy.

Laser show was niceeee but damn hard to take photos hahaha, so too bad. No photos shall be uploaded here.

Well even though it was super late, we went to Dongdaemun night market when we reached our hotel. SHOPPING AGAIN <3 HAHA, headed to the third shopping mall which we didn't visit at all. First shopping mall visited on Day 5 night, second one visited in the afternoon and now the third mall! Friday night is really different. The prices were all displayed for the locals' conveniene and you get to see quite a lot of locals shopping for clothes. I JEALOUS OF THEM OKAY. They got such good shopping (and good skin)

Bought another dress and another top. I DECLARE US SHOPPING QUEENS OKAY. And on our way back to the hotel, I bought SHINee's favourite food (according to some taxi show)....
Hot dog with fries. Didn't take a photo but must google and show people the photo.

SHINee calls this ugly hot dog HAHHA. Well, it's damn good and fattening :( French fries wrapped around hot dog and fried and with a lot of ketchup.

Ohhhh bought one bottle of banana milk too. :( I LOVE BANANA MILK SO SO MUCH. Quite sad you don't see it in Singapore even at Korean supermarkets. The Korean style Japanese restaurant that I went for lunch some time back have Korean soju and food flew from Jeju but no banana milk. Sighhhh.

Okay slept super duper lateee. Last night in Korea. :/ Final post of Korea to be up soon. Nothing much in the post anw.

24th May, Day 5
Well, we had breakfast at The Hotel cause we were supposed to fly back to Seoul already~ Bye bye Jeju. Before going there, I really thought Jeju has nothing. But end up? Jeju is quite big, like bigger than Singapore! And there's like resorts that I shall go stay in if I ever return there again :)

Flew from Jeju to Seoul which was another 1hour plus of plane ride. I kind of forgot what happened already, so much for trying to blog in detail zzz. Well I think we had a longgggg ride from Gimpo Airport to Seoul? Traffic wasn't exactly awesome there haha.

I think we had lunch at some pretty traditional Korean restaurant. Take off your shoes and smell my feet HAHA. And have fun sitting at the floor. No pictures of food I guess, but the food is pretty good as usual.

Then it was time for premium outlet shopping. Nahhh, not exciting one. Wait till I am a tai-tai before I go crazy there okay? :)

Yeoju Premium Outlets
Thank goodness we only have to spend 1.5 hours here. If not I will cry of boredom HAHA.

And I remember stupid things like we had some fruit yogurt drinks. ._. But I can't even remember what we had for lunch oopsss. Anw I had apple yogurt drink that is pretty good :)

Then it was time for strawberries. Super duper happy I swear. Like it's the highlight of my trip HAHA. :) You get to pick 5 strawberries and two people get to share a box of strawberries too. OMG did I mention how much I love strawberries? <3

Strawberry farm
You have to walk carefully along the space in between to find big big strawberries to pick okay! That's the type of task where Auntie Cher performs well in :)
Strawberriessssss
I am serious about being auntie. Cause I picked really big and nice strawberries okay! :) I could even help people to choose strawberries leh! Potential to be strawberry farmer :D

Oh and who actually picks five strawberries only? HAHA.

Then it was time for Everland. Everland reminds me of the 77 degrees roller coaster ride okay, which I read up online before going. Haha, and no one expect me to try okayyyyy. Oh I read about the bears being totally well-trained too.

Well to reach Everland, you have to take a shuttle bus.

Here we are!

Here we go!
Rollercoaster and giraffes on the entrance ticket! Practically the draw of Everland. Its 77 degrees rollercoaster and all the cool cool animals from the safari. Anw the rollercoaster is known as T express I think. We had three hours to spend there. (which isn't enough if you want to enjoy a lot of rides)
Nice tower huh.
Went to the safari together with many people from the tour group first. Ligers, white tigers and bears :) Took so many photos and I kuku and accidentally deleted every single photo from Day 5 sian max :( Yes, most of the photos are from Shan HAHA.

Check out photos of the animals on facebook, you are welcome.

Then I went to try the ride. The steepest ride in the world. I remember this fact by heart okay! The rest is googled: the world's ninth fastest, fourth tallest, and sixth longest wooden coaster.

I think I was feeling like a daredevil that day to even try that. I really thought I was going to vomit after the first fall in the rollercoaster ride. :O Adrenaline rush from the ride for like half an hour where I keep blabbering like an idiot oopsssss.

And while I queued for this ride for around 90 minutes, people actually have fun walking through the garden. The flowers are really pretty. Feel free to check out facebook photos. Hmm, 90 mins for like 3 mins of thrill, is it worth it?

Oh within 10 mins after the ride, I got an icecream. I am such a pigggg. Love their soft ice cream, screw the calories.

Seriously 3 hours is not enough :( Okay a photo before we gathered again.

Everland closes quite early :( Oh and our tour guide said we dao him here. HAHA quoting a friend "You must have given him your typical teacher look" Well well, can't help it if I look like dao :(

Anw this is the ride & I specially googled for this photo okay!
20 secs of courage HAHA, or shall I say 3 minutes of courage since the ride is around that long.

Barbequed Pork for dinner?
Anw it was time for dinner. And then it was pretty good that our hotel is like near to Dongdaemun Market. :) Went for shopping after we reached the hotel. Well, it wasn't that awesome cause people realised at first glance we weren't locals :( Bought like same top as Shan HAHA.

I wish I am a Korean lah, good shopping leh. Three huge malls lehhhhh.

Oh I tried ddukbokie (spelling?) aka spicy and hot rice cake. Hmm pretty good to eat it in cold weather (not so warm weather) Korea's temperature at night is really pretty shiokkk.

Ending this post with Opera from SJ playing :) Check out the song when you are free enough.

The next time if I am in Seoul, I must visit Seoul Tower at night. Supposedly nice night view. And I think Khuntoria went there during WGM during the first episode which is the only episode that I watched haha. Oh in case you were wondering what's the link between Seoul Tower and Dongdaemun etc, it's cause people from our tour group wanted to go there. Sighhhh, sadly we didn't go there?

Okay Korea Day 6 post will be up soon! I am such a dedicated blogger. :)

24th May 2012, Day 4
Woke up later than Day 3. I even had time to eat my orange~ Haha we are healthy people okay! This orange cost around $2.50 I guess. But it's worth it. Like one of the sweetest oranges ever.
Hallabong early in the morning! It's sweet okay :)
Oh we are having good life in Korea and eating Abalone porridge for breakfast. Abalone okay don't play play hor! HAHA. Well, I don't have any picture of my abalone porridge :( Must maintain a bit, cannot keep taking photos of food. Hmm, the porridge is pretty good and you are not supposed to see abalone pieces. It's just black/grey specks mixed with porridge. Well, there's like bread and egg other than the porridge. Now you know why I become fatter.
Then it was time for Teddy Bear Museum aka Teseum! :)

Teseum!

Teseum TV?

Hot dog bun literally?

Hi wolf, you don't fake okay. Wolf in lamb clothing!
Tarzan, my boyfriend. HAHA.

I WANT A TEDDY BEAR

YES I DO.
Actually I am getting from bad to worse. Super lazy to insert all the photos here. So please go stalk, I mean check out Facebook. :)

Time to visit Glass Castle OH YEAH. Heard that it's a super pretty place hehe. Or shall I say the TV show says that it's a pretty place? Was looking forward to it :)

Entrance

Here's the ticket~

Chio glass beads and balloons.

Close up

If you like it, you should put a ring on it~ (Random max)

Just for laugh #1 (when I became Cinderella)

Just for laugh #2 when I became a very handsome prince -coughs-

Pretty hor?
It's actually just glass pieces in the dark, but they look so pretty.

My carriage made from pumpkins

My shoes
Where's my dearest fairy godmother and my prince charming? LOL

Always love this type of buildings.

I am musically inclined. -coughs-

Mama says you must eat your bean sprouts. But what if it's made from glass?

AWWW. HAHA.

Mirror+camera=camwhore

Violin!!!
Well we had bimbipap for lunch :) It's like Pepper lunch in the way how you are supposed to cook the food :) Eh remember to spam the chili sauce if you ever have the chance to eat this cause it isn't really spicy. Oh and obviously it tastes much better than the plane bimbipap!

Hungry or not?
Headed to Daepo Coast after lunch. Nice scenery (y)
One of my chio-est photo I insist.

Power of Nature :') Rod-like structures.
Hmm the previous photos were taken at Daepo Coast! I think it's really amazing how Nature can create such beauty.

Oh at this place, we keep hearing screams from people :O Cause they were on at jetboat :O And it looks so freaky exciting. LIKE OMG. And we were going for a jetboat ride!!!

HAHA but the jetboat wasn't super scary and it was pretty shiok. Was so tempted to scream "SHIOK AHHH" but the people in the jetboat with us are too steady and calm. Cannot embarrass myself...

Then we went to some windmill place, I mean Lotte Jeju. There was some camping zone there too! And Lotte resort is there too! The person who owns Lotte World/Resort and Lotteria is seriously rich like siaooo. Maybe I should go back there and camp at camping zone someday :) And fish for golden turtles AHA. Like real.

On a sidenote, Secret Garden has scenes from here and I get to see it in episode 4 already HAHA. Watch damn slowwww. Anw, the department store in the show (which is super freaking big) is Lotte World :O Tell me how rich the person who owns all the Lotte related stuff is.

Twitter profile picture!

Windmill.

Hi people, it's time for more exercise. Go visit Cheonjeyeon Waterfall. There's three parts of the waterfall and the first part of the waterfall supposedly have nothing during the time/season when we were there.

Second Waterfall

Third Waterfall
Well there was time and being so adventurous and sporty, we decided to visit the third waterfall. So proud of ourselves. Okay lah second waterfall actually has a better unobstructed view lahhh.
Hi third waterfall
We obviously had to take a photo there. Walked for forever to get there. Sighs, walk so much but never lose weight :(
Dinner was OMG OMG. SASHIMI AND SEAFOOD <3
Small/Side dishes Part 1

Small/Side dishes Part 2
I think the dish closest to us was some pancake that I wanted to try. It's really awesome that I get to eat almost all the food I want to try!!! :) Oh the yellow dish at the background is really good (Y) Corn and egg I think. But I couldn't have too much of it cause of the next dish...

Sashimi that we were so excited about at first
We had around 12 pieces of sashimi each :O

Oh it looks little? We had abalone, small lobsters, sotongs and other seafood too. I really like the eel and fishes but really can't eat alr :( Appetite so big also can't finish SIGHS. And the side dishes? There's one more 'batch' of side dishes!!!

But guess what? We had supper still ._. We are too pro. Don't need find out why I gain weight alr.

And me and my one sip of soju HAHA. Really damn high liquer level. Don't worry people, I am not drunk!

Well it was last night at Jeju. So we went to Tony Moly to get our super cheap masks. OMG I LOVE TONY MOLY <3 Totally. Oh and I like it's skin nail polish too. Such a bimbo tsk.

Overall, the experience at Jeju was quite good. Pretty scenery at Daepo Coast and Sunrise Peak and a different experience at submarine and jetboat ride and Nanta show! :) And we get to try quite a few food at Jeju on our own for supper. :D Thanks to my efficient research ok!
  1. Gimbap (this long sushi roll that is kind of spicy)
  2. Pork Noodle Soup. (Hahaha the shop people were so entertained that we were sharing one bowl of noodles only!)
We tried some other food that idk the name of it. OH WHATEVER. It's some white pastry with yellow bean paste and it's made with butter. Fattening but good I guess.
Oh nights. Anw this is a photo of  how The Hotel is so classy. Kind of.

Okay Day 5 was spent in Seoul. Patiently await for the post then :)
