7th April- 13th April

Shenzhen on 8th April, Tuesday

After so long,we finally headed over to Shenzhen for a day trip. A shopping trip hahaha. Didn't buy much things there cause I really have no idea how to haggle for a cheaper price oh well :( But nevertheless, good experience I guess? There was this shop where every single of us bought a bag from there SO EPIC hahaha. Guess the best part of the trip was finding matcha icecream at Macs. Can't believe how cheap and good this is ^^ And maybe the second thing is finding happy lemon with cocoa salted cheese flavour. I miss happy lemon in SG, y u close down :'(

Oh well, they went a little crazy over shopping and hence we didn't have the time to stop a good and cheap hotpot dinner :(

Hoi Kee Walnut Place for dessert on 11th April, Friday

Starting to love walnut paste hehe ^^

Mido Cafe at Yau Ma Tei, shopping at Argyle Center and homecooked dinner on 12th April, Saturday

Mido Cafe was supposed to be some old school HK style cafe, but sadly it's like overrated :( Prices were kind of steep here, food wasnt that good SIGH.

This French toast is good :)

Baked spare ribs rice which was supposed to be famous but tasted normal to me :(

Attempted to buy clothes suitable for internship and omggg, spent around SGD50 in one afternoon. But yay to pretty clothes :)

And finally had decent drinks from Happy Lemon in HK. And tried the cold noodles!!

Sounds weird, but this cold noodle (green means spinach flavoured) is really good.

Taste of SG?

BKT, chicken rice and fried vegetables for dinner. Miss SG food already hahaha.

Hiking at Sai Kung on 13th April, Sunday

Sunday was freaking hot and all of us got sunburnt :O Obviously got sunburnt cause we walked under the sun for seven hours and the shade was non-existent. But we survived ^^

The beach we spotted was really pretty as well :)

Glad to meet this bunch of people ^^

Okay still one more post about Week 15 but I have no time. Rushing off to Taiwan now LOL byeee.

31st March- 6th April

The Spaghetti House at New Town Plaza on 31March, Monday for dinner

Headed out for dinner despite the thunderstorm warning to satisfy our pasta/western food cravings.
Say hi to my squid ink rice with seafood :) So long since I had so much seafood hehe.

Went to Chacha sweets at Citysuper for dessert cause I love matcha stuff so much. Give me matcha every single day and I wont be sick of it still hahaha.

Tsim Chai Kee at Central for dinner on 1st April, Tuesday

三宝面 which consists of huge wontons, beef slices and fish ball. And yes, veggies are good for you.

Yes, I finally had guilinggao in HK. Hahaha.

18Grams for brunch at Mongkok on 3rd April, Thursday

Cappuccino

Classic eggs benedict (with smoked ham) and hashbrowns

Finally eating eggs that are not scrambled or fried. Been eating scrambled eggs almost everyday. Anyway I just googled and yes, eggs really make your hair grow faster LOL

http://www.girlslife.com/post/2011/07/06/Do-eggs-make-your-hair-grow-faster.aspx

Anyway, it was so weird eating at 18Grams cause I am finally using proper English to order food and people finally understand me omggggg. HAHA.

Lau Sum Kee and Luk Lam Dessert at Sham Shui Po for dinner on 4th April, Friday

Forever eating wanton hahaha. Love the dumplings here though!

Hot desserts like we are old women hahaha. But this shop is pretty goood :) Had the egg white pudding with red bean the first time I went there which supposedly makes your skin rosier hahaha. Had the walnut paste on that day. YAY ME LOVE NUTS. Give me almond, macadamia and walnuts all day hehe.

Hiking at Lion's Rock and Beacon Hill on 5th April, Saturday

So we were supposed to eat at hall canteen before hiking but everyone was pretty sick of the hall canteen food so.. KFC here we go.

Pretty much entertained by KFC at HK which provides plastic gloves so we wont dirty our hands while eating the fried chicken hahaha.

Can you see the lion like shape? Hahaha. Yes, we hiked up the Lion's Rock :)

At the starting point of the hike. Luckily we didn't walk all the way there cause it was a crazy hike LOL. Okay the crazy part was how the stairs were never ending omg wth hahaha.

View from the peak of Lion's Rock. Could see our school from the peak. Cool hahaha.
Act yi ge photo haha.

It was a crazy hike with crazy amount of stairs. Hiked all the way for around 5 (?) hours with hell loads of stairs omgggg. Thighs training. BURN FATS BURN.

Yes, I have something for water and forest hahaha. Pretty pretty.

Yes, we saw crazily amount of monkeys.

Divergent on 6th April, Sunday
Finally caught Divergent! Theo James is so hot omgggg. And yes to people who are considering to watch Divergent, go and watch it! It's pretty good. I am going to find the book series soon.

Guess the next movie I kind of want to watch will be The Amazing Spiderman but I guess it will be exams period :( And then possibly followed by The Fault in Our Stars!

24th March- 30th March

Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees and food hunt along Tai Po Market station on 25th March, Tuesday

Hey, spring is here. I love spring. Flowers blossoming and nice weather. Shorts and sleeveless clothes here I come :)

Had breakfast at Chan Hon Kee which was famous for claypot rice, but obviously no one ever sells claypot rice at 11am in the morning haha. So we had porridge, dumpling and cheong fun skin with dough fritters again :)

Headed off to the wishing tree!!

This is the fake wishing tree which everyone throws their wishes thing onto it.

My company on Tuesdays :)

Writing and ticking off so many wishes cause I am greedy oh well hahaha.

This is how you throw it. HAHA.

There wasn't much to be done at the wishing tree area hence we left the place in a short time. Went back to Tai Po market again.

Had pastries at Wah Fai Cake shop. Chicken pie, apple pie, egg tart and coconut tart. Love the coconut tart :)
Best tauhuay I have eaten in HK, some A-po tauhuay at Tai Po market. So damn smooth that it just slides down your throat. Kind of.

And wow Tai Po Market area seems to have so much cheap fruits omgggg. 7 apples for HKD11 (less than SGD2) and 5 mangoes for 20HKD (around 3SGD). My type of heaven hahaha.

Yeeshun and Australian Dairy on 26th March, Wednesday

Milk pudding from Yeeshun.
Egg yolk and almond pudding and egg white and milk pudding.

So my verdict is... the milk pudding from Yeeshun taste less sweet, less milky and more like laoban type of milkiness. So if you are very into milk, I think you will like the Australian Dairy one better.

Anyway, the first time when I headed there, I really loved Australian Dairy's egg white and milk pudding. But went there two more times and I am super in love with the Almond pudding instead. Definitely will head back there just for the egg yolk and almond pudding before I am back in SG.

Australian Dairy's godly scrambled eggs.

Which I didn't like it super much anymore. Maybe I ate too much scrambled eggs already hahaha. In Singapore, I always choose sunny side up over scrambled eggs but here, I have scrambled eggs almost every day. EGGS HAVE PROTEIN AND I THINK THAT'S WHY MY HAIR HAS GROWN SO FAST HERE OMGGGG.

Wai Kee noodles and Kung Wo Dou Bun Chong at Sham Shui Po on 27th March, Thursday

Skipped another Cantonese lesson oops this is bad. Confirmed that I still don't like pig's liver mehhhh.
Beef slices with egg noodles. Tasted normal to me.

Kaya french toast, I like this haha.

Headed over the other shop to eat tauhuay and fried beancurd which tasted normal to me. Pictures weren't flattering anyway, shall not upload them then haha.

Tze Char dinner at Sham Shui Po on 28th March, Friday

Hahaha no photos of food cause we were too hungry. And I can't even remember the place name :O But had xiaolongbao and some other chicken which was called 口水鸡 haha. And kangkong for dinner yaaay.

Taiwan Cuisine for dinner and Tong Pak Fu at Mong Kok on 29th March,Saturday
Food for four. I like the squid thing in the middle of the photo. And had some taro cereal which was not bad :)

Give me something related to green tea/matcha everyday and I will never be sick of it hehe.

Stanley Street and Repulse Bay on 30th March, Sunday

Maybe I have seen too many pretty views in the past three months. Repulse Bay seems to pale so much in comparison :(

Anyway Sunday was a life-changing moment... of experiencing freaking thunderstorm omgggg. Never knew how scary thunderstorms could be. Festival Walk (which was near to our school) was hit by hail and the glass ceiling shattered omgggg. Was near hall when the strong gust of wind hit our area and couldn't even walk back to hall cause the wind was just so strong that all our umbrellas were ruined.. Even the lamp post looks like it's going to collapse like omg wth.

Feelings & Thoughts

Doing the GEM explorer quiz always make me feel guilty. "Do you miss Singapore?"
No, I love how I have all the independence I have, play without feeling guilty, run cause I have the time to and also cause I feel fat hahaha.
I don't want to be back in Singapore to do PA. To be stuck in the weather where I will definitely sweat.

I wonder if anyone misses me badly (hahaha egoistic me)

For now, I am loving HK. For the food, for the weather (except thunderstorms), for the people (actually the Singaporeans on exchange with me) and for the freedom.

Till then.
